Little Miss Worm's beret & scarf

Here we are, waiting for the blizzard, it's so cold outside! and I remembered the beret & scarf for Little Miss Worm (Amigurumi Two!, page 58-61), that didn't go in the book.

**Aca estamos, esperando la tormenta de nieve horrible que se viene supuestamente en media hora, hace un frio!, & me acorde de la bufandita y el gorro que le hice a Little Miss Worm, y que no fue en el libro (Amigurumi Two!, pag. 58-61).
Here it goes:/Aca va:
With worsted weight yarn & F hook:
Beret
R1– Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook
R2- 2 sc in each sc around (12 sts)
R3- *Sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat 6 times (18 sts)
R4- *Sc 2, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat 6 times (24 sts)
R5- *Sc 3, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat 6 times (30 sts)
R6- Through back loops only:
*Sc 3, dec 1*, repeat 6 times (24 sts)
R7- Sc 24
Bind off, weave in loose end.
Scarf
Loosely chain 31, sc 30 starting in second chain from hook, bind off and weave
in loose ends.

Happy crocheting!

  5. Hello Paula,
I have made this apple and worm, I love this toy! But how do you get the apple firm, mine is so fluffy. It plumps together.

Al final por suerte no estuvo tan horrible, pero hay suficiente nieve como para que las nenas salgan a hacer un snowman -yo las miro por la ventana!, ni loca salgo con este frio :p
que tengas unas lindas fiestas, muchas gracias por pasar!

You could crochet it with a smaller hook (E instead of F), or just stuff it a little bit more... what do you mean when you say it plumps together? Let me know so I can figure it out better :
Thank you for visiting, happy holidays!

  9. Hello Ana,
    Thank you for your response.
I mean that my apple is weak and the upside and bottom go inwards.
My english is not so great, so I make some dutch words inenglish, I'm sorry.
I will try to make it with a smaller hook,
    I allready used an E!
Also have happy holidays and all the best for 2010!!!
    Greetings Tamara.

Tamara, instead of using an even smaller hook, what about using two strands of yarn at the same time? That should work :)
Happy new year to you too, thank you for visiting!
    :)
